Jammu : CPI(M) leader and legislator Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami led a protest in Jammu on Tuesday against what the party described as U.S. aggression on Venezuela, accusing Washington of violating international law.
Addressing reporters, Tarigami said the United States had no right to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation. He called for the immediate return of Venezuela’s president and his wife and demanded an apology to the Venezuelan people and the wider international community.
He termed the U.S. actions unlawful and aggressive, warning that such interventions undermine global peace and the sovereignty of nations. International norms and legal frameworks, he said, were being openly violated in the pursuit of geopolitical interests.
Tarigami urged progressive and democratic forces across the world to raise their voices against such actions, cautioning that silence would only encourage further breaches of international law.
Party workers at the protest raised slogans against U.S. policies and called for respect for sovereignty, non-interference and adherence to international law.
